Licensed as Gillybird Nature Academy 2. Our Newton location is our second facility. We have been licensed in this location since 2018, have a wonderful relationship with our Licensing Officers at Island Health, and have a Low Risk Rating.  Big Tree is in the upper level and has a separate play room, classroom and nap room. We are licensed as a Group centre, 30 months to school age, which has a ratio of 8 children to 1 staff member. At this location, we have a maximum of 8 children. Our staff have their Early Childhood Educator certificates.
